The Other Side Movement's programs and activities include empowering youth from high risk areas across the United States. A recognizable need has developed for the provision of outreach services for young individuals. While the obstacles that must be faced can be seen as immeasurable, some of the most pressing issues facing today’s youth are the outbreaks of gun and domestic violence, drug abuse, HIV/AIDS, drunk driving, texting while driving, teen pregnancy and sexting . Each year the statistics become more disheartening. It is apparent that there is a need for programs that seek to reverse these disturbing trends.
